AGRO PASTORAL PROJECT MANAGER

Paul represents a successful story of BLC vision of empowering communities specially young people .
In 2016 Paul at age 19 arrived during BLC ‘s first year and was employed as a doorman , in charge of security of the centre with children .
Eager to provide opportunity for growth and empowerment , BLC encouraged him to enroll in vocational school just few hours a day .
Paul developed a passion as construction worker specially for painting and installing tiles .
In two years Paul graduated and moved to the capital Bamako with new skills and build up slow but surely his small enterprise . He kept in touch with BLC ‘center .
The agro-pastoral project requires a talented , hard working and trustworthy figure on site .
Paul has graciously accepted to return and give back to the center to help building the local community .
Rachel SANOU
CENTRE MANAGER

Ms Madeleine Thera is the BLC Centre manager and supervises all operations. Among her responsibilites she supervises food acquisitions and supplies and manages the cooks in the kitchen. She makes sure that BLC gets good deals in the market for food supplies. She provides excellent care to the children, is loving and is a very good listener to children needs as well as to the staff. She is commonly called Maman Mado.
She coordinates BLC women group’s association's activities with the president of that group. She also assists the Local Coordinator in carry on BLC’s vision and objectives - to promote best practice of management at the Business Center- and to create healthy and inspiring learning and a convivial environment for children at BLC.
