After finishing her bachelor’s degree at Lake Erie College and studying for a year in Morocco as a Rotary Scholar, she began a career in international development.  A master evaluator, she has over 30 years of experience in applied social science research and evaluation of international development programs and extensive training and experience in small group facilitation and experiential learning.

Ms. Kerley worked for several years with USAID in the Bureau for Africa and in the Bureau for Policy and Program Coordination, for the US Department of State in the Office of the Director of Foreign Assistance, and as Chief of Evaluation at Peace Corps Headquarters.  While serving at Peace Corps, she established an impact evaluation system to measure Peace Corps Volunteers’ contributions to their host countries and to helping the American people better understand other cultures when they returned.
